Cadenze for Mozart’s Concert

At the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, my Master’s work focused on the musical form of cadenza, on its origin and purpose, on how it had changed over the centuries and why. A question that always arises as performers, and therefore as creators of a cadenza, is whether it should reflect only the spirit of the time of the piece or constitute a personalization of the work in our interpretation.

If you think you will find classic cadenzas in a classic style, do not even open them. Mine is a tribute to one of the greatest composers of all time, with the humility of looking at him from the bottom up, but with the courage to leave a small nuance of my sensitivity on his great work.
