I am very happy to announce that Maschera, my composition for solo harp, is now published by Universal Edition and has officially joined the catalogue of the historic Viennese music publishing house.
Composed in 2019, Maschera was born from a reflection on the conflict between who we are, who we would like to be, and who others expect us to be.
Throughout the piece, different identities, impulses and tensions emerge, overlap and transform, in a continuous search for balance between what we show to others and what remains hidden behind our “mask”.
In 2021, Maschera was also selected as a finalist in the Inglefield Composition Contest of the USA International Harp Competition.
I am particularly happy that the piece is now beginning a new journey through Universal Edition and that the score will have the opportunity to reach harpists and musicians around the world.
The score and further information about the piece are available on the official Universal Edition website.
